Description

Hot Cross Bun Overnight Oats are warmly spiced, lightly sweet, and filled with juicy raisins. Inspired by the classic Easter bun, this no-cook breakfast combines cinnamon, nutmeg, orange zest, maple syrup, and Greek yogurt for a creamy, bakery-style flavor in every spoonful.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

1/2 cup milk of choice

1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pinch of nutmeg

Pinch of ground cloves

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon orange zest

2 tablespoons raisins

Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Add oats and chia seeds to a jar.

2. Stir in milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla, orange zest, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.

3. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

4. Fold in raisins.

5. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

6. Stir before serving. Optional: drizzle yogurt mixed with maple syrup on top to mimic the classic cross icing.

Notes

Soak raisins in warm water for 5 minutes before adding for extra softness.

Add chopped walnuts for texture if desired.

Store up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
