Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon raisins
- 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)
- Optional: Greek yogurt, extra raisins, nuts, nut butter drizzle
Instructions
1. In a mason jar or container, combine rolled oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, and salt.
2. Stir in raisins, nuts (if using), maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and milk of choice.
3. Mix thoroughly until everything is well combined.
4. Seal the container and refrigerate overnight, at least 6 hours.
5. In the morning, stir gently and top with Greek yogurt, nut butter, or extra fruit if desired.
6. Serve cold or warm gently in the microwave for 15–20 seconds if preferred.
Notes
You can swap raisins for chopped dates or dried cranberries for variation.
For a richer taste, use canned coconut milk or add a spoon of almond butter.
