Description

A creamy, no-waste breakfast made with leftover peanut butter jars, this easy overnight oats recipe blends banana, oats, and milk right in the jar for a stress-free morning meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1 nearly empty peanut butter jar (40 oz)

1½ cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1½ cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)

2 medium ripe bananas, mashed

Optional: 1 tbsp Greek yogurt

Optional: 1 tbsp chia seeds

Optional: 1 tsp maple syrup

Optional: pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

1. Scoop mashed banana into the nearly empty peanut butter jar.

2. Add oats and milk directly into the jar.

3. Stir thoroughly using a butter knife to scrape peanut butter from the sides.

4. Add optional ingredients like yogurt, chia seeds, or maple syrup.

5. Secure the lid and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).

6. In the morning, stir again and top with banana slices, granola, or nuts.

7. Enjoy straight from the jar or divide into two portions if using a large jar.

Notes

For a 20 oz jar, reduce oats, milk, and banana by half.

Use oat milk or almond milk for a dairy-free version.

To warm, microwave jar (if microwave-safe) for 30–45 seconds.

Banana slices are best added fresh in the morning to preserve texture.
